Centre of Excellence Open Day - 31 May 2008

Birmingham City Girls Centre of Excellence Open Day will be held on 31 May 2008.  This will be:

  • a day of coaching and games with staff from the girls centre of excellence;
  • an opportunity for outstanding players to be offered a place at the trials during June;
  • information on what a girls Centre of Excellence is and what’s involved;
  • all players given details on other local girls football playing opportunities

 Players aged 8, 9, 10 or 11 at the start of the 2008/9 season (i.e. girls who were born between 1 September 1996 and 31 August 2000) will have the opportunity to join in training sessions between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Players aged 12, 13, 14 or 15 at the start of the 2008/9 season (i.e. girls who were born between 1 September 1992 and 31 August 1996) will have the opportunity to join in training sessions between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

There will be no charge for attendance at the Open Day but, in order that your place on the day is secure, please contact us with an e.mail titled “Open Day - 31 May 2008″ and the following information:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Telephone number
  • Address
  • Any medical conditions

Please bring footwear suitable for playing on grass, shinpads, plenty to drink and something warm to wear over your playing kit.

Please also contact us if you have any queries about the Open Day.  If you are aged 16 or over on  31 August 2008, please note that BCLFC have recently decided to run a second senior team with effect from the start of the 2008/9 season.  Please keep an eye on the website for further information if you would be interested in becoming part of Birmingham’s senior squad.  If you are aged under 8 on 31 August 2008 and would like further information, please contact us.
