Birmingham City Ladies Football Club (BCLFC) has one Senior squad which plays in the National Premier League and Junior squads at U16s (11-a-side), U14s (9-a-side), U12s (7-a-side) and U10s (7-a-side) which play in the Midlands Centre of Excellence league. Trials are held for the Centre of Excellence squads at least once a year (usually June) and the coaches watch matches and keep in contact with other clubs to identify players they would like to take on at all age groups.
BCLFC is working to create links with local clubs in line with the FA’s pyramid strategy .The clubs which BCLFC links with will be Charter Standard, have committed to bringing support to a BCLFC Premiership match each season and have a policy of putting very talented players forwards for trials at a Centre of Excellence (this does not need to be BCLFC due to location etc.) They will also be prepared to take on players released from a Centre of Excellence.
